I001:
When phone is switched off, only one alarm will ring: the first or the second.
If you set both the first and the second alarms and switch off your phone, only one alarm will ring.
Typically, it will be the alarm with more later time. This issue is related to Series 60 platform.
I002:
Snooze option doesn't work when phone is switched off.
If alarm rings while phone is switched off and user press "snooze", alarm will not ring next time.
This issue is related to Series 60 platform.
I003:
Bell icon on phone's idle screen is displayed only for the first two alarms.
Note: some users actually like this and call it "a feature" :-)
I006:
Text description is displayed for "calendar" alarms only. When "clock" alarm from the first slot goes off,
description is omitted. This issue is due to S60 platform, but probably will be fixed in next major
release of the program.
I007:
Alarm set in the first slot (on some old phones, like Nokia 6600, the first and the second) is displayed as
"clock" alarm. The rest alarms are displayed as "calendar" alarms.
I008:
Calendar alarms are not supported on Nokia N70 and N90 phones with firmware version 5. All alarms will work as
"clock" alarms on N70/N90 with firmware 5.xxx. This is a temporary solution, I'm going to fix the issue in next
major version release.

Q002:
Is it possible to specify distinct sounds for each alarm?
A: Not in current version. Alarm Manager uses phone's built-in alarm service and depends on
its functionality and issues. I hope to overcome this limitation in next major release of the program.
See also Q017.
-
Q004:
Can you add "week-end" alarm type in your application?
A: The short answer is: not in current version. The long answer is: while this functionality
is not supported directly, there is a trick. You can specify Saturday and Sunday as workdays and set up a workday
alarm.
-
Q005:
Can you add work day customization in your program, so that I can choose what days are working
days for me?
A: This feature is available in version 1.4.
-
Q006:
The sound of "clock" alarm is too quiet. What's the matter?
A: As far as I know, this issue is related to Nokia 6600. Its built-in clock
application has the same problem. The alarm volume is going up (increasing) the longer the
sound file is. So if you take a "short" sound it is starting on a low volume again and again - so
it is at least not getting loud... If you take a "longer" sound file it will get louder and louder
(up to the end of the file)...
Solution: Take the sound you like and put it ~ 10 times behind each other (as a new sound-file),
than take this new sound.

Q007:
Why would anyone need alarm management program? Why not to use built-in calendar application - it allows
you to create reminders/appointments too.
A: To start with, calendar application doesn't allow you to create alarm that will
ring even when phone is switched off. And another reason: as for me, I don't like to overload calendar's
schedule view. And I don't want my alarms to appear in my Outlook after synchronization :-)

Q008:
First alarm is displayed as "not set", although it is, in fact, set. And I can't neither delete nor change
it. What should I do?
A: If you have Alarm Manager version 1.3.3 or greater, use built-in clean-up function
"Delete all alarms".
For old versions of Alarm Manager please try the following:
- Open build-in Clock application and subsequently remove alarms, until program displays "no alarm set"
- Close Clock application and open it once again to refresh it's status and make sure there is message
"no alarm set"
- Open Alarm Manager. You should see first alarm in disabled state. Enable or delete it, as you wish.
As far as I know, this issue arises when you have first alarm disabled and set new alarm from standard clock
application.

Q009:
I am already registered user. Can I upgrade to new version of Alarm Manager for free?
A: Sure. Just send me
e-mail. You need to specify your
phone's IMEI number if you didn't do that before. I will send upgraded registered version to you. Please use
exactly that user name and e-mail that were used for registration.
-
Q010:I sent you email but there is still no answer. What should I do?
A: I'm trying to answer email within 2 business days. If there is no answer after that period
of time, most probably I didn't receive your message. Please resend it. Be creative: try to use different email
address. Check if you have any spam-filtering software: some people missed my replies, accidentally blocked by
their filters.

Q011:
How can I find out IMEI number of the phone?

-
Q012:
How can I find out firmware version of the phone?
A: To display firmware version number of your phone enter *#0000#
-
Q013:
Uninstalling Alarm Manager doesn't remove alarms
A: Remove all alarms before uninstalling program.
-
Q014:
I have Vodafone 702NK phone and MacOS X. After upgrading to registered copy of Alarm Manager application
doesn't start.
A: The following information was received from my customers. There are two well known unsis
utilities for MacOS X: MacUnsis and MacUnsisP. These two programs both unpack .sis files, but MacUnsisP seems
to be more reliable, especially when it comes to unpack .rsc files. It is recommended to use MacUnsisP
utility to extract files from .sis installation package.
You can find the tool on this page.
If you unsure how to extract program files to be installed on your phone, ask me to send you already
extracted files.

Q015:
I have Nokia 6600 with 4.xx firmware When I try to install your program, I receive "not supported" error
message or nothing happens at all.
A: There is known issue with Nokia 6600 4.xx firmware. It doesn't handle multi-language
installation packages correctly. Send me email
and I'll give you single-language installation package.

Q017: Is it possible to change alarm sound?
A: Alarm Manager uses alarms of two types: "clock alarm" (first alarm in list) and
"calendar reminder" (all the rest alarms). To change sound of the first alarm, go to the Settings menu
of built-in Clock application. To change sound of calendar reminders, go to the Settings menu of built-in
Calendar application.
